Hello! My name is Josh Dachel, and I am from Wisconsin Rapids, WI. I am currently pursuing a degree in Mathematics Education. The more I do math the more I love it. Through my study of math, I have learned how to think critically and learned how to problem solve when I do not know what to do. One of the main reasons why I love math is because it helps us problem solve, and we know how to take steps to find an answer to the problem. This is very similar to life where we cannot just sit and watch everything go by when there is a problem, and we need to problem solve to find an answer. As one of my professors says, "If you don't know what to do, do something." This is something that is very true in math and life because it tells us that we need to do something in order to start finding a solution to the problem.

I enjoy spending time in the outdoors hunting and fishing. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends whenever I can get a chance. I work for the athletic department here at the University of Mary. I help with setting up before sporting events and take down after, I also help run promotions during the games. During the summer I work for a company spraying mosquitos back in Wisconsin where I travel about an hour at most for some of the properties that I spray. This job has helped me work with people in every situation, whether they are happy or mad. It has also taught me how to be independently responsible.
